How to stop your incessant mind chatter
in just 8 minutes of Pilates
Hi, I’m Danielle and I’m a Pilates teacher. I’ve been teaching now for 10 years and one of the things I love about it is the mind-body connection. This is a phrase you’ve probably heard a lot, but what is it?
The best way I can describe it is when I’m practicing Pilates I reach a state of flow where I’m so focussed and concentrated on the movements (the body) that I’m not thinking about anything else (the mind) so my mind and body are in flow, in the moment with no distraction.
Having struggled with anxiety myself I know how beneficial Pilates is in creating a space of calm and quiet in my mind. It acts as a refuge from the incessant mind chatter that can so easily overtake my mind.
I’ve created this video to help others who suffer from anxiety. I want you to find your mind-body connection while you follow the exercises to escape from the ‘voice in your head’.
